Authoring and HCEP
New Cogynt AI Support
- A Cogynt AI data source is now available by default in all projects.
- An event type can now reference the Cogynt AI data source, so that LLM input parameters and prompts can be configured within the event type.
- Users can select any LLM model enabled in the environment.
- Response caching is available at the event type level.
- This cache setting overrides the data source's global cache settings.
Enhanced Support for HTTP Requests
- Path Parameters and Body Parameters are now supported as input parameters for HTTP requests.
- The QUERY, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE methods are now supported.
- Response schema configuration is optional for the POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE methods.
- Parameters are organized in a tabbed interface for an improved experience when browsing and defining parameters in event type settings.
Partitions Renamed as Group By
- Partitions are now referred to as "Group By" for improved clarity and comprehension.
- Users can now select Group All, No Grouping, or Group by Fields.
- Group All groups all results into a single shared state (or solution).
- No Grouping runs statelessly. That is, it assumes every record has no state, and performs computations without maintaining state. This is optimal for running ETL processes.
- Group by Fields allows users to group their results by selected fields from their ingested records.
Custom Group By Fields
- Users can now use computations to derive custom fields from their events, and group their patterns by these custom fields.
- Users can also group by varying granularity of their date and time fields (for example, by day, month, or year).
Microsoft SQL Support
- Users can now create a Microsoft SQL data source to use as a lookup source.
Test Connection Button
- Users can now test the connection to a data source while creating or editing it.
- This allows users to troubleshoot connectivity issues before deployment.
Improved Constraint Definition Experience
- The constraint definition flows in a more logical order: first field, comparison operator, then second field.
- "Constraint Computations" are now "Custom Fields", an option embedded in the field selection dropdown menu.
New Computation Function: JSON Builder
- Users can now build JSON objects from within computations to create nested JSON structures and reduce the number of unnecessary fields exposed in the outcome schema of a pattern.
Improved Deployment Resource Configuration (Advanced)
- In the past, the CPU request and limit for both task and job managers were set to be the same. Users can now define different limit and request values to fine-tune the resource consumption of a deployment, which should help save on operational cost when the deployment is idle.
Other
- Removed unused options in the computation toolbar for a cleaner look and feel.
- Updated the design of the Custom Field (formerly Constraint Computations) modal, which now includes a Save button.
- The right side panel is now collapsible to make room during demos.
Workstation
New Event Comments and Attachments
- Analysts may now post comments directly to events in Workspace to facilitate richer coordination and communication among the team.
AI Chatbot User Experience Improvements
- Removed side panel on event-based chats.
- Added avatars user prompts and breakpoints for model changes for improved visibility.
Workspace Improvements
- Analysts may now reorder their workspaces via drag and drop.
- Analysts may also assign a meaningful icon and color to communicate the workspace’s intended use.
- Better messaging when deleting a Workspace informs user that this action will not affect others.
Workspace Template Improvements
- Analysts may also assign a meaningful icon and color to communicate the workspace template’s intended use.
- Better messaging when deleting a Template to informs user that this action delete it for all other users
Object Detail Viewer Improvements
- Long fields are no longer scrollable, making it easier to view the last field.
- “View More” link is present so analysts may read lengthy text in a dedicated full-page modal .
- Event templates with multiple columns will auto-collapse to fewer columns to support very narrow widths
